Witches and Saints

-by joey racano

‘Stand with your back to the Roasting Root
Jailer lights the fire with a tall jack boot
Never get a chance to speak your side of it is moot
Prepare to meet your fate at the Roasting Root’

As another one bites the dust, and with others being added to the list of the accused by the hour, one cannot help but marvel at the ability of society to break down as rapidly as embers from a Salem fire.

It is obvious that the current climate of social fear being wrought across 2017 America is at a level not seen since 1939 Germany and has de-evolved into nothing more than a witch hunt. For instance, how many saints can you name? Saint Francis, my favorite. Saint Joseph, like the aspirin for children, Sant Bonaventure, I think that’s a school or an amusement park… But really if you can name them on one hand you may be a saint yourself.

But now how many are not saints? All the rest of us, I would say! We are, by the millions, wickedly dirty little creatures with many-a-skeleton in our closets. And don’t tell me you didn’t. You know what you did. Lying is only lying to yourself, because we don’t really care- we’ll likely get to you eventually, anyway.

So here we are, attacking, accusing, ruining lives and careers (and don’t misunderstand me, some of these bastards deserve it), but what is really happening here is a breakdown of society, a horrible and unhealthy climate of fear of being the next to have our shirt stripped from our back, revealing ‘the mark’ that will send us to the burning stake.

And it is all disproportionately affecting the left end of the political spectrum, with all of us winding up the losers. And then there’s the role of money. A comedian whips it out in front of a couple of colleagues and flogs the mule, and heads to the gallows, while another, wealthier comedian known to be a serial rapist, drugged and molested untold numbers of women over the course of a career only to return them home, soiled, to their families -along with money for a car or college- and still he walks free, due to huge money and influence.

But one thing is to be sure, with the escalating witch hunt now racing across the social fabric of America, soon, the only ones not in jail will be the jailers. It is easily enough done; government just keeps on collecting all manor of information, every thing about every one. All to be used one day when the process of social data mining finally stops at the station of our own little town, then to be pored over until the jailers find something, anything, they can use. And then you are denounced, more people come forward, and you are tarred, feathered, tied to the roasting root and burned. And on to the next.

She’s a Witch!

2032: Good Luck to the Crew

In the year of our lord twenty thirty
Elections have gotten down and dirty
But the people have risen and chosen wisely
Which is why we’re attacked, in fact, precisely

Tulsi Gabbard and VP Jill Stein
After 8 years of Trump it was water to wine
They started to bring the USA back to sanity
Every step of the way sabatogued by Sean Hannity

The waters ran red, the sky she ran brown
No bee pollination no grass on the ground
No herds on the plains, no super-speed trains
Trump and his inbreds took all of our gains

The Democrats were too soft, the Republicans too hard
They had little substance, their policies lard
The women took over they pulled it off well
It didn’t take long ’till we climbed back from hell

Now though another election was looming
War drums within our own country were booming
Jets had gone rogue, overhead they were zooming
And out of the shadows came orcs they’d been grooming

Here came the brotherhood to challenge the motherhood
Swat teams from bad dreams oppressing the neighborhood

Militarization brought on Polarization with nary a free speech zone left in our nation

The firemen, fishermen, foundrymen, soldiermen
Hated the hippies and all they were better then

Surrounded the whitehouse with no need for speakers
And only one mission- to wipe out the leakers

The place was on fire, the moment was dire
The whitehouse turned into a funeral pyre

We landed a chopper sent by the resistance
Got Tulsi and Jill buckled in by insistance

We flew them away to the cave of John Connor
Seconds before they would both be a goner

And now it’s election day twenty thirty Two
There’s no more that Tulsi and Jill Stein can do

With term limits here It’s been left up to you
The place is surrounded- good luck to the crew!

‘RAC the vote’

‘In a world of deregulation
a long line of losers, especially our nation
Perhaps when seas rise 20 more feet
Both democrats and republicans will go down to defeat’

Dear friends, Romans, Activists and Americans,

It is with great hope in one hand and nylon rope in the other that I come before you this January morning. With my heart on my sleeve, Sandra on my arm and a pounding in my temples and chest, I lay at your feet but a simple request. If the last 36 months have seen the planet host a one half degree rise in temperature and yet the focus of our conversation be whether or not we allow Exxon full run of the U.S. State Department, may I submit I would rather have a bottle in front of me than such a frontal lobotomy.

Perhaps like me, you are finding it hard to wrap your mind around the prospect of an outgoing president who has been at war every single day of two presidential terms, at the same time welcoming in an even more warlike president. These are the great questions, no one can answer and none should ever have had to ask. I am no angel. During my days on Earth, I have been guilty of grabbing a pussy or two. But never without permission, for fear of jail and or a black eye. But I wasn’t an actual billionairre at the time. So who am I to judge?

Unlike many other Americans, I see the ‘wall’ for what it is, a wall to keep Americans in place even as they live under more and more squalid conditions, rather than some safety membrane erected on our behalf. It is already common knowledge that Americans are the new Mexicans, in as much as Canada doesn’t want us because they know we are willing to work for lower pay than their own workers. I got a letter in the snail mail a few days back asking if I would be willing to sign on to an investigation of Hillary Clinton for indiscretions various and sundry. I was so angry at what she and the DNC did to Bernie Sanders supporters in the primary that I almost signed, but then I realized we as a nation will never get anywhere until we prosecute Bush and Cheney for their many treasonous crimes, including revealing the name of a CIA agent to the media in order to divert attention from their own lies about Iraq and WMD’s.

So I didn’t sign. But I did reel under a resurgence of memories of another awful time in US history, when a million people were on the verge of death, and many otherwise literate and functioning Americans seemed to be caught up in the same mob mentality as black tipped reef sharks turning on their schoolmates in a feeding frenzy.

As we all await tomorrows new beginning, when the Endangered Species Act becomes more endangered than the endangered species it was written to protect, when the courts become stacked with far right appointments, some for life, I can only close my red eyes and picture myself climbing, hand in hand and arm in arm with the late Dr. Martin Luther King and imagining us together scaling Mount Kilimanjaro and finding, against all odds, snow still at the summit. I picture myself sailing with Captain Paul Watson, hurling rancid butter in the eyes of would be whale harpooners, or even in a cell being monitored 24 7 for seven years with American hero and whistle blower Chelsea Manning.

And through it all, the only hope we have is that Mother Earth won’t leave us behind. That the cosmos won’t take away the gold stars we were given when we took the wheel of spaceship Earth. Instead of tomorrows fascist, football deflating, flag waving, pussy grabbing, stealth bomber fly-over spectacle of barbarism at the newest incarnation of the Roman Colosseum, I will instead join you all in spirit, all the while looking up into the comforting patter of a January rain. The wind, the birds, the clouds and all of the real wealth we are blessed with will still be there, as it will be always and forever. And I ask for no more.

We Win Oil Loses

The Whitehouse announced that the ACOE will not issue a permit for the DAPL oil pipeline to bore beneath the Missouri River. This is a great victory for the world and a crushing defeat for big oil.

Election 2016 (System is Broken)

by joey racano

The system is broken
The nuts have awoken
Led by a comb-over out of Hoboken

Call him ‘the Donald’, but he’s not a duck
Now stand by for post election Mack truck

Hillary’s cheating, no way she’s beating
All think back fondly, your freedom is fleeting

Avoid Brownshirt rallies with body count tally’s
Leftist-progressives do not walk down alleys

Shooting black kids, climate doubles
Cops who kill don’t get in trouble

Then there’s Ted Cruz to give you the blues
Meetings held at evangelical zoos

Arizona non starter, elections made harder
It’s time for observers like President Carter

No paper trail when you’ve got electronic
Add executable files as a tonic

Here comes the future, the Children of Men
Don’t learn from the past and it rises again

Super delegates, vanishing ungulates
Corporate takeover agency regulates

Hanging chad, breaking bad
Far right Obama the first black we’ve had

Shooting wolves in Idaho
Drownings at Guantanamo

Surf in feces, de-list species
Trick or treat anthrax in Reeses

Heartless Cheney, dead Scalia
See ya wouldn’t wanna be ya

Foreclosed homes in half the nation
Banks refunded, take vacation

Bernie Sanders, people’s choice
The anti-Trump our only voice

All the rest are nuts or hacks
Clinton paid by Goldman-Sachs

Drop your jocks and grab your socks
I’ll meet you at the ballot box

Fear the Bern -Election Update III

Wednesday, March 16th, 2016
Election 2016 Update III

Election 2016 Update III

Fear the Bern

(Election 2016 Update III)

Exit polls revealed many democratic voters arrived at their polling places and immediately re-registered republican for 5 years in order to vote against Donald Trump. Such was their fear. Or was it a clever tactic by the right wing Hillary Rodham Clinton campaign, whose answer to the Bernie Sanders ‘yes we can’ insurgency is a hopeless, ‘no we can’t.’ In either case, it didn’t work.

The election and nominations are not yet a foregone conclusion, but the question still remains, ‘is the Donald Trump candidacy a ruse thought out by Karl Rove, Dick Cheney and other architects of a New American Century, meant to scare daylights out of democrats driving even progressives toward Hillary Rodham Clinton? If so, it is a ruse that has gotten way out of their control. ‘The Donald’ as it were, probably was all for team ball at the start- until the low IQ of dumbed-down America hoisted him up on their shoulders like Atahualpa. And once you taste the power of the throne, you never go back, even if back means being a reality show billionaire-on-paper.

And wither the idealistic Sanders campaign? Mostly dazed and confused this post-primary election Wednesday morning, as centrist democrats voted their fears and went with Monsanto lawyer, war monger, fracking and bank advocate Hillary Clinton. And don’t forget she brings back the cigar-wielding William Jefferson Clinton, and 30 years of entrenched quasi-right political machinery. Rest easy, America.

As sane people watch on in horror, biblical floods, storms, droughts, tornadoes, sea level rise, fracking-induced earthquakes have their way with the land sea and atmosphere with nary a United States Presidential candidate mentioning the environment as an issue except of course, Bernie Sanders and Green candidate Jill Stein. So the quandary before sane Americans is, what to do; where to go from here?’

That is where I may be of help.

1. Green Party: Stay the course and vote for one of our own qualified and altruistic candidates. Remember, the Greens have a huge advantage- our party is *international and *we don’t take corporate money.

2. Republicans: As ye sow, so shall ye reap. You created Donald Trump, and soon you may be licking his bootstraps in the latest version of 1939 National Socialism and then in hell forever after.

3. Progressive Democrats: Continue to feel the Bern. Full speed ahead and dam the torpedoes. The democrats will never change as long as they know you will still vote for them. Here is your chance to send them a message they will never forget- WRITE IN BERNIE SANDERS. If someone tells you about the ‘sore loser’ laws in some states where write ins won’t be counted, well who cares? It’s better than endorsing the oil-war, big pharma, log-the-last-forest status quo. Tell them to take their super delegates and shove them where the sun don’t shine.

4. Center-right Hillary Democrats: See #2.

PRESIDENTIAL PRIMARY ELECTION 2016 UPDATE
by joey racano

Why do I get the feeling Karl Rove is the steering committee behind the Trump candidacy? Contrary to popular belief, Trump is not smart- he’s just from Brooklyn, where quick wit and fast comebacks are a way of life (believe me, I learned it growing up in East New York, in the Brownsville section of Brooklyn). It was very Rove-esque to attack the Pope just before heading into South Carolina, where they hate anything progressive.

That also reminds me that the Hillary Clinton campaign was shrewd enough to convince the African-American electorate there to vote against their own self-interests. But back to Trump; what do I think of Donald and his potential nomination? It scares the sh1t out of me, and should scare you as well. He makes no sense, he has no plan, he is downright psycho. But I do give him a bucket of red roses for being the first politician with the balls to call G.W. Bush out on his lies about Iraq. Too bad he didn’t go further; after all, Bush murdered 4500 US soldiers.

Hillary Clinton, by virtue (if it could be considered virtuous) of a SUPER PAC was able to squeak out a quasi-victory over Bernie Sanders in Nevada. In the long run, this is only going to hurt her, because she came out of it with half that states delegates, but has now provided proof-positive how corrupt the system is with which we nominate our candidates. Bernie did amazing things in Nevada without a SUPER PAC. Widely viewed by the new voting youth*** as cheating, the HRC SUPER PAC and the threat of using ‘SUPERDELEGATES’ to squash grass roots uprisings against the democratic party status quo has galvanized this new voting block. Look for Hillary to take a page out of the 2000 BUSH/GORE SELECTION and steal the nomination, then lose the general election. Bernie will continue on as a third party independant, and well he should. No progressive or lefty will ever vote for Hillary Clinton. Not one.

No time to discuss Cruz or Rubio, but if they show better in the future I will include them in the next report.

Jeb Bush:

Jeb Bush, despite having all the oil money in the world was DOA because of the American public’s lingering outrage of the Iraq invasion of 2003. For the new-age mystics out there, think of it this way; Jeb Bush is feeling the karma from his decision as Governor of Florida not to protect the Manatee. Many died from propellers to the face as people making up the Jeb Bush ‘base’ went speeding through the Floridian coastal waters in their long, expensive, fancy ‘Cigarette’ boats a la Miami Vice. Good riddance Jeb.

Take Back the Coastal Act

Canned for Protecting the Coast

Take Back the Coastal Act by joey racano

(special to EarthSourceMedia)

In the last year, the California Coastal Commission has made bold moves to protect the dwindling coast of California and in doing so, made some powerful enemies. For instance, the commission resisted allowing Shell and Exxon from drilling and fracking on Banning Ranch, last large open coastal marsh in Orange County. They stopped Pacific Gas and Electric from blasting whales with seismic air canons at the Diablo Canyon Nuclear Power Plant in San Luis Obispo County. And probably the biggest shot heard ’round the world was their ruling to forbid the captive breeding of orcas at Seaworld San Diego as a condition of approval for bigger tanks.

These powerful business interests, who see the coast as a profit center to be plundered, have struck back, forcing the Commission to remove their own Dr. Charles Lester, no longer the Executive Director as of yesterday. Lester, hand-picked by the late great Peter Douglas, was favored 890-2 by speakers at the meeting in Morro Bay this past Wednesday, but the vote still went against him, 7-5.

Now the call is out demanding Governor of California Jerry Brown to remove and replace his Coastal Commission appointees, (Effie Turnbull, Erik Howell, Martha McClure, and *Wendy Mitchell, who is a lobbyist for PG&E), all 4 having voted for Lester’s ouster in spite of enormous public opposition.

With the petition demanding the removal of the Brown appointees only 24 hours old, the balance is the same- so far, 207-1 to have them removed and the commission’s integrity and independence restored.

Here is your chance to weigh in:

State of the Union 2016

– by Joey Racano

Good evening ladies and gentlemen, members of the press, and friends around the world. We all know why I am here, but let me tell you why you are here with me. Because you are a problem solver, rather than a blame thrower, because you thirst not only for knowledge, but for truth, which is in short supply in the world of politics and policy.

The world has never been more volatile, the future more uncertain. But the issues have never been more clear cut and their answers never more handy for those with the courage to reach out for them, and each other. So thank you for reaching out alongside me, for a better world and a better way.

It’s no secret that American pop culture is steeped in the flashy, gimmicky world of entertainment and bling. But we can’tsolve the problem of trillion dollar oil wars and the hurricanes of loss they bring, by raising children on violent video games with names like Warcraft, Call of Duty, and Boom Beach.

Nor can we solve the problem of Syrian refugees by bombing the sovereign nation they are fleeing.

And we can’t solve the problem of terror by tightening borders rather than improving our foreign policy.

Changing the world isn’t going to be easy, but it is going to be necessary.

And such change is even more difficult stemming from the fact that we have been hampered right out of the starting gate by stolen presidential elections, energy policies written by oil companies whose effect on the Gulf of Mexico has been anything but shrimp and who now pour methane by the cubic mile into our very neighborhoods at Porter Ranch.

Air Quality Control Districts have to be sued for siding with fossil fuel polluters.

Porter Ranch is still operating as thousands of families flee their homes in California.

A group of armed terrorists can occupy an Oregon Wildlife Refuge on behalf of a fringe group of ranchers loggers and miners, while peaceful occupy wall street demonstrators were forcibly removed from public parks. This all shows the stranglehold fossil fuel has on the throat of America.

Many will cringe when confronted by just how far it’s gone.

Recently, some 160 people were killed in a terrorist attack at a concert hall in Paris France. Was this simply an astounding coincidence, happening at the same time a string of music concerts was to begin around the world on every continent, all aimed at bringing public attention to the Paris Climate Summit the following week, with Pope Francis himself directing a billion christians to kick the fossil fuel habit?

After all, climate action of this magnitude is surely viewed by the CIA as a threat to the oil economy, and so a threat to the national security of the United States.

With names like Elton John, Bon Jovi and many others, the concerts were to be simulcast for 24 hours from Sydney, Paris, Rio, New York, Bejiing and elsewhere, and yet, because of the timing of the terror attack in Paris, all talk of the climate was supplanted in the news by all things terroristic.

To this day, we have heard little to nothing about the summit, the climate, or the concerts. The news has instead been a steady parade of killings, turbines, carbines and calls for gun control. This is a public relations gambit called ‘transference’, and I believe those fossil fuel industries and their CIA bodyguards played more than a supporting role.

As possibly the world’s only candidate -or even person- who is both a card carrying member of PETA and of the NRA, I know that disarming the public must never be allowed without disarming the military, the police, the CIA, FBI, National Guard, DHS, and the Clive Bundy hole-in-the-wall gang first.

If we maintain our second amendment right, we stand a chance of maintain everything else. Don’t give in to fear, don’t give in to fossil fuel, and don’t give in to false prophets who try to Trump the privacy, freedom and diversity all Americans hold dear.

Thank you for your time, bless you all, and please take a good look at the candidates this time ’round. Something’s Berning and I think it’s something good.

Good night.
